Each year, armed conflict and natural disasters separate millions of people from their families, when they are needed most. The Red Cross helps families reconnect around the world - from delivering personal messages to families separated across international boundaries by war and civil unrest to re-establishing communications for family members separated by war and disaster.

The American Red Cross of the Tri-States offers tracing/locating services for people separated from their relatives because of war, civil disturbance or natural disaster. Please note that the Red Cross can only help those individuals separated by war, civil disturbance or natural disaster.
Through the strength of the Red Cross Movement and the work of tracing volunteers at national societies around the world, Red Cross tracing services and Red Cross messaging services help families locate each other and send communications between them.
